Solar energy works by capturing the sun's energy and turning it into electricity for your home or business. Solar energy is becoming an increasingly popular form of alternative energy around the world. Solar batteries enable us to store more free energy form sun through our panels and buy less from energy supplier, saving money and incresing our independency from national grid. There are some battery options that you can choose for your solar powered solution which include the sealed lead-acid, lithium batteries and NiCd batteries. Let's go through them one by one to help you understand in details:

1) Lithium ion battery:

The majority of new home energy storage technologies, some form of lithium ion chemical composition are used . Lithium ion batteries are lighter and more compact than lead acid batteries. They also have a higher DoD and longer lifespan when compared to lead acid batteries.  However, lithium ion batteries are more expensive than lead acid counterparts.

The most popular Lithium-Iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries for solar applications are the smallest, lightest, and safest batteries with the longest life span – up to 20 years. They also have the best discharge efficiency, making them especially useful in applications where the system is not in continuous use. EverExceed designs & manufactures advanced lithium battery solutions to provide ideal energy for solar. There are Wall mounted and rack mounted Solar Lithium Iron batteries and LDP Series Lithium Iron ( LiFePO4 ) battery those are developed to deliver high efficiency energy output. Another addition is Solar street light lithium battery which becomes most popular in recent days for its reliability, durability and safety.

2) Lead acid battery:

Lead acid batteries are a tested technology that has been used in off-grid energy systems for decades. While they have a relatively short life and lower DoD than other battery types, they are also one of the least expensive options currently on the market in the home energy storage sector. For the construction mechanism, these batteries discharge slowly.

In EverExceed VRLA batteries, the nano-carbon slows sulfation and allows the battery to charge faster and cycle more than traditional lead acid. EverExceed offers wide range of VRLA batteries specially designed for renewable energy applications. These are:

1. Deep Cycle AGM Range Solar VRLA

2. Deep Cycle Gel Range VRLA

3. Solar Gel Range VRLA

4. Modular Max Range VRLA

5. Modular Range VRLA

6. Modular Gel Range VRLA

7. Tubular OPzV Range VRLA

8. Unilyte Range VRLA

3) NiCd battery:

Traditional pocket plate NiCd has many good points like low self-discharge, non-freezing and so on. But their cycle life is not as good as lead acid battery. This makes them good for emergency/standby systems, but not for systems with a daily cycle. So, NiCd batteries are not recommended for most solar or backup power systems.

Batteries in solar applications have to meet the demands of unstable grid energy, heavy cycling (charging and discharging) and irregular full recharging. There’s a variety of battery types fitted for these unique requirements. EverExceed manufactures complete power solution to meet these requirements for solar applications. Our solar products are highly developed, economical and environment friendly and ensure maximum efficiency and high power output to supply outstanding power performance.
